Future Disco – Poolside Sounds 9

Future Disco’s “Poolside Sounds 9” is a vibrant collection of tracks perfect for sun-soaked days and warm nights. Featuring an eclectic mix of nu-disco, house, and chillout beats, this album captures the essence of summer relaxation and dance-floor vibes, making it an essential soundtrack for poolside lounging.

Future Disco - Poolside Sounds 9 Album

I love this album, which I first listened to on my headphones whilst travelling to London on the train. It’s super-sexy disco with a slight chilled vibe at stages and then a more upbeat style of disco house arrives just around the corner.

If you’ve got an hour to kill and want to listen to something that is pretty cool, then the Future Disco Poolside 9 album is an album I’d definitely recommend.

It states there is 38 songs and 3h and 21m of music to listen too. However, don’t worry, yes I totally agree, that’s far too long for an album. In fact, the first part of the album is mixed and this starts at track 1 right up to track 19.

The rest of the album, if we still had physical CDs would be CD 2, which is essentially the full length versions of the songs that were played in the mixed version (CD1). This is great if you hear a track you love in the mix, and you want to hear the full version.

Stand out tracks from the album

The whole album is great to listen to from start to end, and is perfect for those chilled out summer days. There are some obvious tracks that stand out from the crowd, and the tracks that stood out for me I’ve mentioned below.

Don’t want this to be over – Track 1

Jean Tonique Remix – Kraak & Smaak, Satchmode, Jean Tonique

The very first track is a great choice because the cool chilled vibes of this track is what got me to sit back, chill out, and enjoy the rest of the album. That’s a pretty difficult thing to achieve today, when we’re so used to skipping through music.

Voodoo Babe – Track 4

Never Dull

I absolutely love this tune, it perfectly sits at the perfect place in the album to slightly change to mood. “Voodoo Babe” by Never Dull is an infectious track that effortlessly blends elements of house, funk, and disco to create a vibrant and uplifting listening experience. Known for his ability to infuse classic sounds with a modern twist, Never Dull delivers a track that is both nostalgic and fresh.

“Voodoo Babe” features a groovy bassline, rhythmic percussion, and catchy melodies that draw listeners in from the very beginning. The track builds upon a foundation of funky guitar riffs and soulful vocal samples, which are seamlessly interwoven with crisp, modern production techniques. The result is a danceable and dynamic composition that showcases Never Dull’s signature style.

Sweet Nightmare – Track 10

Renato Cohen

“Sweet Nightmare” by Renato Cohen is a standout track that exemplifies his prowess as a producer. Its intricate composition, haunting atmosphere, and impeccable production make it a memorable and impactful piece of music. Whether you’re a fan of techno, house, or ambient music, “Sweet Nightmare” is a track that is sure to leave a lasting impression.

Since its release, “Sweet Nightmare” has garnered praise from both fans and critics alike. It stands out as a testament to Cohen’s ability to push the boundaries of electronic music while maintaining a strong sense of musicality and emotion. The track has become a favorite in the underground dance music scene, resonating with listeners who appreciate its dark, introspective vibe.

Kiya – Track 17

Kiwi

“KIYA” features a driving rhythm and a pulsating bassline that immediately sets the tone for the track. Layered synth melodies and dynamic percussion add complexity and depth, creating an evolving soundscape that keeps listeners hooked from start to finish. The track’s structure is meticulously crafted, with carefully timed builds and drops that enhance its hypnotic quality.

The mood of “KIYA” is both energetic and atmospheric. It exudes a sense of forward momentum, perfect for the dance floor, while also maintaining an ethereal quality that makes it suitable for introspective listening. The track’s blend of upbeat rhythms and ambient textures creates a unique atmosphere that is both invigorating and immersive.

Giving Up On – Track 18

Ekkah, Alan Dixon

This is arguably one of my favourite tracks of the album. Although the message can be seen as a rather sad situation, as it’s about explaining you can’t give up on life when things get tough. The vocal and the beats are upbeat, so the message of not giving up on life is a positive one.

The mood of the Alan Dixon remix is exuberant and celebratory. It exudes a sense of joy and liberation, making it perfect for both late-night dancefloors and daytime parties. The track’s upbeat tempo and vibrant instrumentation create an atmosphere that is both uplifting and invigorating, encouraging listeners to let go and enjoy the moment.

This is a great track for anyone to listen too, but it’s even better for anyone who is feeling a little down on life and needs a shake. Quite simply, it only takes one music track to make you change your outlook on life, and this track does just that!
