I am incredibly excited to announce the release of my brand-new track, “Altered State.”
This project marks a massive personal milestone in my production journey. While it’s easy to lean on sample packs to quickly build a groove, for this track, I wanted to strip everything back to the raw fundamentals. Built entirely inside Logic Pro, “Altered State” features 100% original MIDI patterns. Every driving bassline, hypnotic synth pluck, and rhythmic drum groove was written and programmed from scratch.
The result is a sophisticated, late-night Progressive Tech House journey designed to lock you into a groove and take you somewhere else entirely.

Behind the Production: Finding the Flow in Logic Pro
Stepping away from pre-made audio samples forced me to focus heavily on sound design and arrangement. I wanted the track to feel both digital and organic, building tension through continuous automation and evolving synth textures rather than relying on standard FX loops.
By programming all the MIDI myself, I had total control over the velocity, swing, and micro-timings of the drums. It took a bit longer to nail the perfect rolling pocket for the low end, but the payoff of having a track that is completely unique in its DNA makes every hour spent in the DAW worth it.
